What the guidebook actually contains
Guidebook Journer opens with pre-departure paper and packing, then Kuala Lumpur transfer and Ngurah Rai arrival, then lodging, then a visitor-geography chapter, then safety, then conduct, then thanks, then Linda’s number. That order is the product. journer.org spreads those chapters across packing, prepare, bali, safety, terms, and contact so search engines and humans can find them, but we do not replace the spine with mood copy.
Visitor geography includes Tirta Empul, a luwak coffee garden, Bali Safari and Marine Park, Ubud, Ayung rafting, Green School as a ticketed visit, Sanur, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Kuta, Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Dua, Mount Batur, Lombok, and the Gili islands, with guidebook-era ticket sketches. Those figures are not program fees. They are optional leisure estimates from the source chapter, and they sit outside the safety envelope.
How we edit
We translate into English, keep numbers that are in the file, refuse numbers that are not, and decline to republish advice that would coach immigration misrepresentation. We note when policy is guidebook-era. We keep uncomfortable rules: random rooming, certificate loss for absence, participant responsibility on leisure days.
A second identical guidebook file exists in the folder; it does not add a second set of facts. The itinerary PDFs and the 2020 certificate sit beside the guidebook rather than inside it. Read all three families of documents if you are a school coordinator.
Students should not treat this webpage as a reason to skip the PDF. They should treat it as a map of the PDF.
Chapter map
Chapter one of the guidebook becomes packing and prepare. Chapter two becomes parts of safety and foundation (transfers, pickup). Chapter three becomes lodging contrast on family and packing pages. Chapter four becomes destination context on bali, with a warning that tickets are optional leisure. Chapter five becomes safety. Chapter six becomes terms and FAQ conduct items. The thanks and Linda’s number become about, contact, and apply.
Itineraries are separate PDFs and become itinerary plus diving. The certificate PDF becomes partnerships and outcomes. Keeping that map public is how we stay honest when copy is tempting to “upgrade.”

Translation choices: Tulanben is shown as Tulamben with the source spelling noted; 万豪旗下酒店 is Marriott-brand lodging without a property name; 义工 is volunteer teaching in this context, not a legal employment category. If a bilingual family finds a mismatch that matters operationally, tell Linda and we will correct the HTML. Do not treat either language as a loophole against conduct.
What we left out on purpose
We left out coaching anyone to misstate a travel purpose at immigration. We left out live exchange-rate promises. We left out animal-welfare audits we did not perform. We left out Green School as a placement. Those omissions are editorial ethics. If a reader wants the old sentence about ticking “holiday,” they will not find it here. They will find a instruction to read official rules and tell the truth the law requires.
We also left out the full visitor-ticket price list as a shopping engine. A few guidebook-era figures appear as historical estimates where they help families understand that leisure is extra. They are not a store. The guide is a spine, not a marketplace.
How to quote the guidebook in a student handbook
Quote short. Attribute. Do not paste entire chapters into a school PDF that then gets posted. The public HTML already exists. Link it. School handbooks should add only school-specific rotas and credit rules. Duplicating the spine creates version drift, and drift is how a 2015 visa sentence becomes a 2026 instruction without a check.
When you quote lodging, keep both options and the transport difference. Quoting only the hotel makes the house sound unofficial. Quoting only the house makes the hotel sound like cheating. The guidebook gave a fork. Keep the fork.
If your legal team wants the immigration-misstatement sentence that we refused to republish, they can read the source themselves and then, we hope, also refuse. This site’s refusal is part of the guide now.
