What local partners should see on this site
You should see hour totals that will not steal a term from your staff. You should see dress codes, attendance rules, and a ban on unofficial guests. You should see that classrooms are not named for marketing. You should see that visitor sites are not being advertised as your campus. If those signals match how you want guests to behave, a conversation is worth having.
The source week includes a launch ceremony, school blocks, a community-center block, and a closing exchange. If any of those shapes is wrong for your space, say so early. journer would rather change a plan in inquiry than force a PDF onto a living timetable.
What we need from a host
A person in charge of the room. A working agreement about photos and gifts. A way to say no to a volunteer who is not useful that morning. A truthful note if a day should be cancelled for a ceremony or a storm. Optional: a certificate process similar in spirit to the 2020 Bali Rastiti Bhakti Foundation appreciation letter, without copying its registration numbers.
What we will not ask you to do
We will not ask you to pretend a six-hour visit is a staffing solution. We will not ask children to perform sadness. We will not drop unpaid “teachers” into your timetable without a launch briefing. HCIA collaboration language stays inside source itineraries unless you are actually on the current contract.
If you host community-center space, the Monday block in the source week is designed for you: English or Chinese, two to three volunteers, a shorter, more improvisational room. Tell us if that pattern helps or if it should change for your calendar—through application, not through a public guess.
Ending a morning early
You can. If a volunteer team is not useful, sit them down or send them to wait. The source week is not a contract that children must endure guests. Tell journer afterward so the next brief changes. Partners who swallow a bad morning to be polite train operators to send worse teams.
Certificates
If you issue hour letters, keep the hours true. If you do not, say so before students invent their own. The 2020 foundation letter is a model of dated, numbered appreciation, not a template you must copy including its legal numbers.
If you are a new host
Ask for the brief forty-eight hours ahead. Ask for dress compliance at the door. Ask for a single student contact so you are not managing twelve WeChats. If a sending school argues, we should argue on your side or not send guests.

Partners who host community centers
Your Monday block may be the only time some participants meet mixed ages. Tell the sending team if toddlers will be present so they do not bring small objects that are hazards. Tell them if your space cannot handle a ball game. You are allowed to specify. Specificity is hospitality to the actual room, not unfriendliness to guests.
If a team arrives in open-toe shoes, you may turn them away from the floor. The public dress code is written to support you. Use it the first time, not the fourth. Training guests with delayed enforcement trains them to delay.
After, a two-line note to the coordinator is gold: “too loud,” “useful matching game,” “please no candy.” Partners who stay silent get the same candy next year. Speak.
